The New Jersey State Police invite you to an event on May 20, 2017 in an effort to help us ID The Missing & Bring Them Home. The event will be held at the Rutgers University College Avenue Student Center, 126 College Ave., from 1 to 5 p.m. This is free and open to the public. Family, friends, communities, and organizations working to locate New Jersey’s Missing are welcome.
Come out to meet other New Jersey families and friends who are coping with the disappearance of a loved one. Families should preregister to ensure that their loved ones are commemorated in the candlelight vigil and slideshow.

Accreditation Assessment Team Invites Public Comment

A team of assessors from the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police (NJSACOP) will arrive on August 28 2016, to examine all aspects of the North Bergen Police Department’s policies and procedures, management, operations, and support services Chief Robert J. Dowd announced today.
“Verification by the team that the North Bergen Police Department meets the Commission’s “best practice” standards is part of a voluntary process to achieve accreditation, a highly prized recognition of law enforcement professional excellence”, Chief Dowd said.
As part of this final on-site assessment, employees and members of the general public are invited to provide comments to the assessment team. They may do so by telephone or email. The public may call (201) 422-7560 on August 29th, between the hours of 9:00 A.M-11:00 A.M.. Email comments can be sent to email@example.com.

NJ State Association of Chiefs of Police Accreditation Site Visit

The Township of North Bergen Police Department is scheduled for an on-site assessment as part of its program to achieve accreditation by verifying that it meets recognized professional best practices.
Administered by the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police, the accreditation program requires agencies to comply with best practice standards in five basic areas: the administrative function, the personnel function, the operations function, the investigative function, and the arrestee/detainee function.
Agency employees and members of the public are invited to offer comments by calling (201) 422-7560 on August 29, 2016, between the hours of 9:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M.. Comments will be taken by the Assessment Team. Email comments can be sent to the police department at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Telephone comments are limited to 5 minutes and must address the agency’s ability to comply with the NJSACOP standards. A copy of the standards is available for inspection at the North Bergen Police Department, 4233 Kennedy Blvd., North Bergen, NJ.
