How do I go about commending an officer? When you want to say thank you for a job well done by a police officer or other employee of the North Bergen Police Department, you can visit or call the North Bergen Police Department during regular business hours and ask to speak to a supervisor. The North Bergen Police Department Records Bureau hours of operation are Monday through Friday, from 9:00am to 3:30pm, excluding national holidays. If you wish to receive a report by mail, you must send in a written request, along with a self-addressed stamped envelope and $10.00 money order.

How do I obtain a handicapped parking permit? An individual who has temporarily lost the use of one or more limbs, is temporarily disabled as to be unable to ambulate without the aid of an assisting device, or had had their mobility otherwise temporarily limited as certified by a physician, may be eligible for a temporary handicapped parking permit. To be eligible for a temporary handicap parking permit, the applicant must obtain an application (ISM/SS-68) from the North Bergen Police Department Traffic Bureau located at North Bergen Police Department Annex. It is recommended that the application be picked up in person by the applicant. The applicant must have their physician certify the application. The application MUST be completed by a licensed physician or it will not be accepted. Return the completed application to the Police Traffic Bureau along with a $4.00 money order to begin the application process.
