The North Bergen Police Department provides safer neighborhoods through a partnership with the community which it serves. The Township of North Bergen is a one of the most progressive communities in Hudson County and  continues to grow by leaps and bounds. While the Township is only about five square miles in area, it is home to over 50,000 residents, a wide variety of retail establishments, restaurants, commercial chain stores, and various industry. The Township of North Bergen also boasts some of the most beautiful views of the New York City skyline and has some of the lowest crime rates in the county. The North Bergen Police Department remains diligent to ensure that the Township of North Bergen remains a safe and stable community.

A Message from our Mayor and Public Safety Commissioner:

"Our administration has always worked hard to keep our neighborhoods safe and secure. We have added more police officers, expanded the D.A.R.E. program in our schools, and created many successful community outreach programs. Over the last few years, crime has dropped over 50 percent. Our top priority has always been public safety; to help keep crime down we will continue working closely with the North Bergen Police Department and Township residents."
